Full-Time Band Teacher

Band Teacher

We are seeking a passionate, Christ centered full-time Band Teacher to lead our middle/high school’s instrumental music program. This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who loves students, loves music, and desires to integrate faith into daily teaching. (This position has the option of being full-time when combined with the part-time vocal music teacher position)

The Band Teacher will:

  • Teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced band classes
  • Direct ensembles, including concert band, pep band, jazz band, and possibly marching band
  • Foster musical excellence while nurturing students’ spiritual growth
  • Collaborate with faculty to support a vibrant, Christ honoring school culture
  • Organize performances, concerts, and community events

A strong candidate will have:

  • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A heart for ministry and mentorship
  • Strong instrumental music background
  • Teaching certification (or willingness to pursue)
  • Ability to inspire students of varying skill levels
  • A South Dakota teaching certificate or be capable of securing one
