Person who has inspired you and why: My great-grandfather William Hill. He served his country in World War 2 as a United States Marine and overcame many different struggles in his life. However, despite these struggles, he worked hard and was able to retire in his mid-fifties. That may not seem super cool, but he was retired for over 40 years. In those 40 years, he blessed people with stories, advice, and a mild amount of sarcasm. He inspires me with his resilience and persistent attitude (or stubbornness). Despite falling and breaking his neck at age 95, he never gave up. He was always positive and strong when we visited him. He always loved his wife and cherished his family. I can only dream of being as faithful and rooted as my great-grandpa Hill.

But even if He does not, we want you to know, your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” I love this statement of faith. No matter what happens, God is still God. Whether it’s a yes or a no, He is still God. Whether the coronavirus lasts another week or 2 years, He is still God and we will serve Him.

Person who has inspired you and why: Person who inspired you and why: My grandpa – Dick Horak. When I think about my grandpa, two things immediately come to my mind. I think about the way that he loves his Lord and Savior and the way he loves his family. I believe these are the two most important things a man can ever accomplish in life; to love his God and family with all his heart. I have not met another person in my life who is a better example of these two qualities than my grandpa Dick. I will always cherish the memories I have with him and look forward to making many more.
