Hart Ranch Campus
Rapid City Christian School’s Board of Trustees recently launched the largest capital campaign in the school’s history,
announcing an overall target of $3.75 million to finance the second phase of remodeling at its new Hart Ranch campus.
The Building for Excellence campaign will raise funds for seven additional classrooms, a library, an indoor gymnasium/assembly
space, boys’ and girls’ locker rooms, and outdoor athletic fields.
The campaign was announced at a dinner March 25 at the Canyon Lake Resort. Keynote speaker Loyal Tillotson, M.D., Ph.D.,
who chairs the campaign, spoke to an audience of trustees, faculty, alumni, and friends from the community about the importance
of Christ-centered schooling in Rapid City.
"We want more children to study God’s workmanship in all the academic disciplines. We want them to think critically and apply
a Christian world view in making decisions. We want to prepare them to testify to the Truth in their mission field, namely,
the world around us."
Since the announcement, volunteers representing RCCS have been calling members of the community to bring them up to date on
recent developments at the school and to ask for support.
RCCS moved to its permanent, twenty-acre Hart Ranch campus in 2007.
