Competitive games can often play an important role in the development of character. Our school fields a variety of teams for both boys and girls, including volleyball, boys basketball, girls basketball, and track. We also cooperate with other schools to provide soccer, tennis, and cross country. Several RCCS teams have advanced to state tournaments, and a number of individual athletes have gone on to become successful at the collegiate level.

RCCS is a member of the South Dakota High School Activities Association.
